Okay so first off a big thank you to Prana for bringing the Roots Tour to City Beach. Katie Brown and Natasha Barnes are two of the nicest, well-spoken ambassadors to the sport, and they put on an awesome slide show. And when technical difficulties arose Katie was there to pantomime what we all should be seeing, and she also presented some pics on new ways to cook meat. We had a great turn out and everyone got to really see two sides of the climbing world. After the slide show the girls took a Q&A, and were gracious enough to hang around and talk to our guests one on one and even sign a pair of Mad Rocks. All in all it was a great night for the community and again we want to thank Prana,Katie, Natasha, and John for bringing things all together and giving us something to enjoy during these troubling times. On Nov 21st Prana & City Beach are teaming up to present The Roots Tour. The event will start at 7:00pm on Friday and will begin with the introduction of two amazing Prana Athletes, Natasha Barnes & Katie Brown. They will be on hand to conduct a lengthyslide show, followed by a clinic and some one on one with anyone who has a question. Also those who show up the night of the event will receive a gift certificate from Prana for use in the Valley Faire location. There will be food provided by City Beach along with drinks. We encourage everyone to come together to enjoy a fun night. The cost will be $5.00 for members and $8.00 for non-members. This will include your day pass and a wrist band for food. So please come on down and meet Katie and Natasha.

Chris Sharma will be at the Valley Fair Mall Saturday June 21st from 1:00pm-3:00pm. Come down to the Prana store and meet one of our sports greatest ambassadors He will be signing posters & copies of King Lines, and taking time out of his day to hang out. There will also be a raffle, so please take time out of your day to meet and greet someone who continues to leave a lasting impression upon the sport of rock climbing.

The premier was amazing here with about 100 people coming out to show their love for Josh Lowell’s Dosage 5. We had a nice line at the door and the first 50 received a free satchel, compliments of Prana. With our packed house and the pizza and beer flowing freely the crowd hung onto every moment of the show, which included rather comical insights (provided by Dave Graham). After the show we raffled off $3,000 worth of free swag and our guests climbed into the wee hours. We would like to thank Big Up Productions, Prana, Evolve, Blurr, Blue Water, La Sportiva, Voodoo Holds, Metolious, and Weidimiser Beer for making this event a huge success. Here are some pics:

City Beach has just partnered with Prana. We are proud to support both a community/eco-friendly company who does everything in its power to provide amazing clothing and help the enviornment. They just recently opened their first store in San Jose, at our own Valley Fair Mall. Check out there stuff, it is a perfect fit for everyone.
